I have always been fascinated with windows. Ever since I was a kid, I always looked at different window designs. As a budding interior designer, I always look at magazines and note that the first thing I look at is window design. I’ve recommended different window styling to my clients. Interior shutters are one of the most popular among them. This might probably be because they are more convenient. Some of them, though, prefer exterior shutters since they claim it provide their windows more attitude. Others who go for extreme minimalism likes vinyl shutters. Whatever they decide on, I make sure that the design I give them is functional to their lifestyle.

I think it’s a good thing that there are a lot of window shutter types that you can very well take advantage of. I recently went to a home improvement shop and found that there are indeed various options. I love the vinyl variation of interior shutters. There are even those that have paintings on the slats so when you pull them down, you are treated to a picturesque scene. But, I also love how wood shutters were turned modern. The styles of the shutters are very much worthy of a second look. I think they would go very well to contemporary-themed interiors.

I was reading this book on housekeeping and I realized that there is a lot to learn in a seemingly simple task. This is why I got more sensitive in caring for my window’s glass panels. I am also thinking of getting interior shutters or probably a wood exterior shutters. I still have to check my budget though. When I went to the store, I saw that vinyl window shutters are way cheaper than wood ones. However, I’m having apprehensions if they would last the way I would expect them to. I think wood ones are a logical choice in this terms.

For people who are relying on their creative intuition, it might be safer to go for classic pieces at home. For example, instead of going on modern shutters, it might be best to go for wood plantation shutters. Instead of going for modern steel tables, you might want to consider getting the hardwood ones. Home interior designing is just a matter of picking from choices.

I still believe that windows are very much the soul of the house. It allows the whole house to breathe and probably receive positive vibes in the form of sunshine. But somehow, you would want a little privacy and protection. It is for this reason that I recommend interior shutters to my clients. The good thing about them is that they come in a variety of options. You can go for wood ones if you are they type who likes sturdy items in your house. Vinyl interior shutters, on the other hand, are for those who want a minimalist and light look.

They say that it is really tricky to choose over a lot of things. In my case, I had a hard time with window shutters. I am so tempted to go with wood plantation shutters since they are a classic. But, I also want to achieve a minimalist look for my living room. I read somewhere that you can still do so even if you use plantation shutters. Maybe I should just see to it that the slats and frame of the shutters are thinner than they regularly appear to be. I would try to picture out this and see how it would go with my whole interior decoration.

I went with my sister to shop for her new house. I was surprised to see different kind of window shutters. I honestly thought that vinyl interior shutters are the most common ones. Turns outs, they are the cheapest. My sister got this small wooden interior shutters. She also have a matching one for their attic. I think they’re cute. There were also this wood-looking shutters available. I think that would be good for those who are on a budget but likes the feel of earth or wood theme at home. I guess I really have a lot to learn. Good thing I won’t be starting a family yet.
