Houzz.com Branching Out in Canada
It is a joy to view beautiful home designs whether just for the pleasure of it or because one has the intention of redecorating her home. Either way browsing images with splendid home designs is definitely a great way to spend a day. One may not have to the outright intention of redecorating but with the ideas one gets from browsing home decorations can provide inspiration and motivation to act on a plan.

Houzz.com, a database and community on home design and decoration, based in the U.S is branching out to Toronto and Vancouver. This website is actually a high tech version of cutting pages out of a magazine as described by Adi Tatarko, the site CEO, in Jennifer Wilson’s article “Searching for the Perfect Houzz.”
Adi Tatarko further revealed that their foremost goal is to come up with a tool that people will enjoy using as well as making home improvement a fun process. She further added that the site’s help may even save few marriages on the way.
Houzz.com has been around for two years and it has incorporated many features into its site already. Its features include home tours. The website also features thousands of thousands of images contributed by more than 18,000 professionals worldwide.
Jennifer Wilson further said in her article that, “While the database was available to Canadians since launch, fans can now look at homes in their own cities, in addition to saving favourite photos to ideabooks — their version of an online scrapbook, commenting on the shots and tagging items with sourcing info and other details. It’s free for users to upload their own photos, and interior designers can use the site to host their portfolios, which Tatarko notes, offers would-be renovators the ability to find designers in their region who work to their style. In fact, says the site’s director of business development Katherine Nannizzi, some designers are even finding up to 30 per cent of their traffic coming from Houzz each month.”
