   I would just say that do your guest room a nice, neutral colour. Remember, it can be unisex so you wouldn’t want a guy in a pink room or something!

   Modern would work with patterns. But fruits is a hard one. Try to aim for red orange and green for modern.

   Stenciling the walls looks nice. You could probably find some cherry wall borer stencils. It works on cabinets too. Hgtv has neat ideas for decorating.

   Firstly you can get cherry wallpaper at American Decorators on the web. Or just goggle wallpaper and you will get a number of suppliers, you can see the wallpaper or get samples. You can also try ebay if you only need a cuople of rolls. I got retro Diner Paper on ebay. For decorating you must think of the big picture not just room by room. Think how the flow of color will be as you walk through the house. Cherries are fine for the kitchen as a kind of surprise and smile. Try not to use green in one room and blue or pink in another. Try to get the colors to flow in harmony. Teal and taupe are good colors. Look at the Martha Stewart colors or Laura Ashley colors in Lowes.

   Maybe instead of wallpaper, you could try to find a neat cherry pattern, and decoupage it onto the walls…
   OR you could take a stencil, and place it on the wall, and skim a coat or two of plaster/spackle, over it, and peel the stencil off, and you will be left with a raised cherry on the wall, and you could then go over the raised cherry once dries, and get a metallic looking red paint, and green, and a smaller paint brush and paint just the raised part… Or make the cherries as big as you would like…

   I can’t really help with Cherry wallpaper, but – if your kitchen is large enough – this tapestry wall hanging could add a nice touch:

   One note, however, is – with tapestries – keep them away from the cooking area as the fabric will absorb the steam and food smells. That’s why I noted that your kitchen would need to be large enough to have a separate eating area before hanging something like this would make sense.
