Ideas for decorating a nursery in a rental home?
Can’t paint or put up wallpaper. So I was thinking getting some peel-off wall decals – any other ideas?
I’m decorating my son’s room in my apartment now, which I also can’t paint, and have found ALL SORTS of neat stuff! Check out some of these:

I’m doing the fabric wallpaper like this behind his crib… http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_OddY-OlLtco/SYoZ_Dt_beI/AAAAAAAADyI/xEuH-1WjC-4/s400/Wall+with+fabric…+repeated+in+frames+to+the+side.jpg but in a different fabric, and I’m putting his name in painted wooden letters over it also (which you can get at walmart for cheap)

You can also put up a shelf and use baby blocks to spell the baby’s name or for decor in general. And I found some cute sports pictures online (on yahoo image search) and printed them off and put them in dollar tree frames and used them as wall decoration also! Cheap and cute!
I hope it turns out BEAUTIFUL! Good luck!

Just get a lot of cute pictures or even the decorations that go with whatever set you are buying. I wouldnt worry about painting the room or wallpaper. I left my daughter’s room the boring color it was because I am planning on selling my house in the next 2 years and didnt want to have to reneutralize it and it looks adorable with just the wall hangings.

I did the peel off decals… I like them alot because we can take them with us when we move out…
Also, you CAN paint the walls if you want to… you just have to paint them back to white when you leave.
I got several cute picture frames for the room as well.. one of the ones I got was on clearance for only $5 at walmart and it’s a HUGE frame that ways ABC vertically and then has places for 3 different 4×6 pictures…It was just white but i painted it to match my sons room… it was only $5 and it turned out great!
Just shop around at places for little wall decorations, etc… we also got some small corner shelves and used small nails to mount them and the holes can be easily covered…. We just set little things on them… one has books, one has a teddy bear & one has a picture..
Just be creative!

Wall art has come such a long way. I live in a rented apartment too. I found these lovely picture frames in bright orange and green (almost neon). I bought foam sheets from Walmart (very colorful) and cut them in the shape of the theme – dinosaur for my son and butterfly for my daughter and stuck each shape such that one picture frame comes in the middle. So now I have a dinosaur picture frame with my son’s picture in it; and a butterfly frame with my daughter’s picture.
I bought colorful butterflies from the dollar store and stuck them with double sided tape. For my son, I cut out foam sheets in different colors in the shape of dinosaur footprints. With matching bedding, I think the room looks just great.
You can see the room (before and after) here http://www.decoratingideas4kidsrooms.com/work-from-home.html (just scroll to the bottom of the page).
Hope this helps.

I’m renting, my kitchen is blue, my bathroom is mint green and my daughter’s room has bold stripes of varying shades of pink and green. I’ll just repaint.
If you don’t want to paint, what about pictures? Babies R Us has tons of cool stuff like the letters you can hang, lazer cut designs for the walls, rugs etc.
