Ordering Via Mail Order Catalogs
Mail Order Catalogs
Mail order is basically the buying of either services or goods through mail delivery.
A mail order catalog is a collection of merchandise offered by a company to the general public.
It is a medium through which the buyer can choose what to order. Once the person has made a choice, they can then call up the company and place the order.
The product is then delivered via mail – usually to a home address. Companies who do this are called cataloguers. They manufacture or buy goods then promote these to a target market.
A lot of people now do their shopping through mail order catalogs. This is because almost everything is now available in catalogs: ladies apparel, men’s wear, toys, books, home decorating furniture, food and even bedroom accessories (from bedding catalogs)!
All you have to do is browse through its glossy pages and pick what you want to buy. Then you can make a call and the item will be delivered to you in a few days. Shopping has never been this easy. Home decorating catalogs, especially, can be very enticing!
When ordering through mail catalogues, you have to first read the company’s protocols. These protocols differ from company to company. Some companies have a no return, no exchange policy on their products. So if your package arrives and you find that the item inside is broken or has a defect you might have a hard time having it replaced. So before placing your first order do some research. This can save you from having to deal with future problems.
