Hair Salon Christmas Tree Ornaments?
Posted by admin on Jan-31-2010
I am heading the Props crew for our schools production of Steel Magnolias. I need some interesting ideas on how to make Christmas Tree ornaments shaped like salon things (i.e. scissors, combs, chairs, magazines). Thank You!
Cardboard! Cut out the shapes you need then decorate them. You could also use old compacts, lip sticks, nail polishes, etc and tie a ribbon around the top or you could make scissors, combs, makeup etc from salt dough then paint them however you would like. Just make sure you poke a hole in the top before you bake them so you can hang them.

Cut them out of cardboard and paint or color them. Hang some spray bottles on it. Go to a beauty college in your area and see if they have the practice head that is used in training and use that for the tree top (would be neat if it had hair rollers in it)
