It’s a great relief that our business is expanding this year. Honestly, we didn’t really expect it because of all this fuss on the economic downturn. However, this does not mean that we can splurge on stuff. Now, that we are moving to a bigger office, we need to be wiser and practical. We called a new interior designer to have her look at our present office. We made it clear that we wanted to use at least 90% of all the stuff that we have now. She says it would be easy since we’re using modular office furniture. She could just base her designs on the expansion of the modular sets.

A friend recommended me to a businessman who would be putting up a new office in a few months. The guy was really great except that he really has lots of expectations. He wanted me to convert his small office space into something functional and yet dazzling—interior-wise. It won’t be that a problem if his office weren’t small! Good thing I saw this modular office furniture sets when I was browsing for materials to use. It’ll definitely give me a lot of space to move around with designing. I opted to use a minimalist theme so that the client would feel that his office becomes bigger.

The office we are going to have has very limited space. So, as much as possible, I asked my interior designer to use modular office furniture in his designs. I also inquired about the possibility of getting multifunctional rooms and spaces. We will be banking on a contemporary theme so I think that would perfectly do. I do not want my employees feeling cramped in the office. I think that more than anything else, the ambience of the workplace must be flawless. Otherwise, it will just be a source of negative vibes. I don’t want that in my own business.

I don’t know what’s happening but two of neighbors hosted a garage sale for two consecutive weeks. There were a lot of finds for keeps. My friend went out and bought five modular office furniture pieces which she says look as if they were never used. I went for these old dresser that would only need little reworking. The kids got a lot of toys and books. I actually thought that the neighbors are moving out. Later on, I learned that they are just getting their houses renovated so they need to clean up old stuff. Good for them and for us too.

I was once told that you should not do things half-heartedly. You need to set everything as if you are doing it for the last time. Otherwise, it won’t come out as you want it to be. This is the reason why I opted to have modular office furniture in my new business office. I actually didn’t care about which type of pieces I should get. Then, I realized that aesthetics play a role in my would be employees disposition. I opted for these ones since I am just starting out. My interior designer assured me that I can expend the pieces in the future if I want to.

There is more to office interiors than just choosing wall colors. You also need to know which is the right kind of furniture to use. In my case, I went for modular office furniture because I don’t have the luxury of space. These furniture pieces are not only modern-looking. Since they can very well be connected to each other like jigsaw puzzles, setting them up together is easy. The good thing about them is that they can be improved in the long run. You can buy additional pieces and connect them with the old ones to create bigger and more working cubicles.

After several years of event planning, I have found some points to which every event planner should know. For outdoor setups, you need to ensure that you have backup gazebo tents. It is also best to stick with iron patio furniture because they are sturdier. You’ll never know when a guest would be too heavy for plastic chairs. Coordinate with every team leader on the floor. You need to know if there are problems needed to be addressed as quickly as possible. Cut off any risks of technical glitches by rehearsing sounds, lighting and other stuff the day before the event.
