Home decorating ideas this Easter
Changing your interior décor with the season is one way to keep your home looking unique. With the celebration of Easter coming up, you will have a chance to create a totally different appearance to your room with your home decorating.
You don’t need to make your Easter crafts difficult. Keep it easy. Unpack some of your favorite heirloom vases, shop for colorful candy and choose springtime flowers.
With the help of three retailers, we took our decorated eggs and designed tabletops with bright colors and whimsical home pieces.
We found a few Easter egg designs that the kids will enjoy making. Remember, though, that eggs left at room temperature for two hours or longer are not safe to eat.
Here are some things you can try:
Rubber band eggs
You’ll need: hard cooked boiled eggs, 10 or more rubber bands, liquid coloring or egg dye
What to do: Wrap rubber bands around eggs, creating decorative patterns. The more rubber bands you use, the more white lines you’ll achieve. Dye according to package directions.
Scrapbook-sticker eggs
You’ll need: hard-cooked eggs, cooled, Liquid food coloring or egg dye, Martha Stewart’s Daisy, wreath stickers ($5 to $6 a pack at Michaels stores), Martha Stewart’s Lily stickers ($5 to $6 a pack at Michaels stores)
What to do: Dye eggs according to package directions. Apply scrapbook stickers. They attach easily, creating a three- dimensional look.
