Which is nicer/modern/interesting, a Spanish or a Mexican style home?

I want to decorate my home in either Spanish or Mexican, which do you think is more suitable for a couple in their early 30’s, (with child) something that doesn’t make it look too old folks like home, and is easy to maintain, can one combine the two? or its too much..

Some of your ideas would be great.
ps: I do have another question like this one. But need more help.

Personally I think you could mix elements of both and be successful–I like the bold colors that you can find in mexican tiles–the oranges, blues, yellows, etc…you could find a few pieces that you are drawn to and build off of those…I think both are easy to maintain and update and can be easy to incorporate into a home with a child…just because you choose one doesn’t mean you can’t mix in things you like from another—when it is done nicely it can be very eclectic and cool…good luck.

Does anyone have any home decorating ideas?

I have no decorating sense but I know I like contemporary style. I’m trying to get some color scheme ideas and suggestions. The walls in my home are all white and all the floors are carpeted with a light tan color. Can anyone with some great fashion sense give me a great layout idea of how to decorate my living room and bedroom? Please feel free to get as detailed as possible and suggest links and websites to see easy contmporary decor ideas. Oh my living room and bedroom both have two sit-in bay windows in them if that helps. Thanks in advance to all that respond.

Maybe it would be good to answer your question with questions. How large are your rooms? What are your favorite colors? Are you going to be buying new furniture, or using what you have? Do you like modern art? What are your hobbies, do you like the ocean or the forest?

If you take time to get to know you, you could perhaps find a direction. Starting with a color scheme and then what style of furnishings, is storage something I need more of, and so on.

There are numerous web sites and you can quickly become overwhelmed. So take the time to answer these questions and I am sure you will find a direction. Sometimes just knowing what we DON’T like, is a big help.

Get out the flowers and candles because its time to decorate your love den for some Valentines Day romance. Decorating for Valentines Day is simpler than it may seem. In most cases, you are just going to be making the area more romance friendly. This won’t take long and will be sure to look great when you are done.

Clean Up

First things first, before you do any official decorating you need to make sure the area is spic and span. Get everything together and ready for decorating. While this is a fairly obvious step, it wouldn’t look to good if you forgot it and surpassed it on your rush to get things ready.

Gather your Supplies

If you are decorating for romance you are going to need a few things to make sure the area is just perfect. First, you need to decide what room is your main focus. For example, if you will be snuggling by the fire you will want to decorate differently than if you’re spending the night in a sensual bubble bath. Once you know your focus you can begin decorating the right way.

For moments in front of the fire you will need:

A Fascinator Throe or another Blanket
Soft Music (Classical or Romance/Love Songs)
Candles (Different lengths and sizes)
Flowers (Roses or something preferred)

While you could easily add other things this will do wonders for the romantic look of a room, especially if you will be lying beside a roaring crackling fire.

For Bath-time Fun you will need:

Bubble Bath (Something that is his/her favorite scent)
Soft Towels (The bigger and warmer, the better)

Decorating

You should attempt to decorate around the area where you will be the most. For example, if you will be in front of the fire on the Fascinator Throe you might want to ensure that the candles and flowers are surrounding that particular area. You might line up flower vases and candles on the fireplace mantle. You can alternate vases and candles to create a beautiful look. Additionally, you do not have to have a dozen roses in each vase so this can be done inexpensively, if you are on a budget.

If you are on the floor, consider having an ice bucket with a good quality wine available at your side. If you will be snacking you might want to have some aphrodisiacs on hand, such as oysters or olives. If you are considering something more intimate you might want to have your toy bag beside the Throe so that you have easy access to several pleasure devices to please your lover.

Enjoying your hard work

Once you have finished decorating and you are with your lover enjoying the romantic look and feel of your home you will be able to feel a certain sense of satisfaction. Romance will be at an all-time high during that time. This will make lovemaking and intimate couple time much easier than ever before.
