Decorating Ideas for 1970′s Mobile home?
I have an old Mobile home i live In. It it early to mid 1970′s model. single-wide 14X70. & i feel like im trapped in the 50′s. Im looking for lots of decorating ideas for each room. ( 2 small bedrooms, one Big bedroom, Bathroom, Dining/living room & Kitchen. i figure since i have to live here, ( cant afford anything else) & I own it. i might as well make it look pleasant & up to date. I like feminine colors. & feminine things. I also want to know if i can do a type of ( "goddess") feel to it. either way, i don’t want something that is dark & to unpleasing to the eye. can anyone help? or give me any ideas? On where to look ( I do well with picture visuals) so i can see what it is i like. So if anyone knows where i can find magazines & whatnot with pics in them that can help me decorate a trailer??
As i said, i want a really feminine thing.. i like Lightest blue, A Lightest lavender & lightest Pink? or close to lightest pink, however im looking for the softest pastels i can find. plus, i need to know where i can find the wrap around curtains for beds. i want this all to look romantic. & Dont want a 70′s Or a 50′s Retro look, i want a modern, but feminine, Feel. For Today.. if not today, then i want as close to Greece type as i can get. ( Greece as In the Roman Greek era)
Your right you own it so it should be your taste.i perfer light neutral colors.i also live in a mobile home and when we remolded we painted over that dreadful dark paneling.i went to lowes and got a color of paint called Bambboo.by Valspar.it was perfect,we painted the ceilings white and the trim white,you would never know it was a older model now.if igo to sell i will double my money it looks that good.just remember to never be ashamed of your home, as long as it’s clean it doesn’t matter about how old it is. i like retro.with modern touches,it works.i get compliments all the time for my imagination.i come up with ways to use stuff no one would ever think of.you just have to use what you like and what makes you comfortable.
