k so i plugged my lights up but every fourt one works like -o-o-o-#-o-o-o-#-o-o-o-# and its because there are four cords and only one as its lights lit but how do i get the lights to work…they are all connected to one plug if anybody needs more detail or any info ill be glad to provide it

This happened to me and my family once before, either your bulb is dead or it’s not connecting correctly. Try lightly thumping each of the bulbs that is not working to try and reconnect it, if this doesn’t work your bulb is probly dead and you will need to replace them

Wondering where I can get the little mini incadescent lights that can decorate a fake tropical tree that I have in my house?? Where is the best place to buy really good ones that last long, on the web?

try any craft place….like Michael’s…sorry I do not know the web address…

Good Luck

There is a wide variety of ornaments available online. I am particulary interested in glass ornaments, mouth-blown ones. What is the popular styles in the USA? I noticed there are icicle shaped ones, others shaped as a ball, …
What would be a typical price range for such ornaments?

Thanks,
Mohamed

i am guessing that you are asking about Christmas tree ornaments?
as far as most ornaments in the u.s. go most people choose the ball shaped multi-colored ornaments. these are typically the size of a tennis ball, though they can vary greatly from golf ball to a softball size. all colors are used red, blue, green, yellow etc. of course, you can decorate with one color if you like. for example, all red balls on a green tree with white lights. don’t let me dissuade you from choosing an ornament you like. you mentioned icicle shape, that’s fine, stars or homemade ornaments are fine…anything that you like for your tree. there is not really a guideline per-say.
as with anything, prices will vary from around $5 for a box of 12 at a kmart or walmart to $25 plus per ornament for some finer more delicate options (like the blown options you mentioned). just remember, it’s your tree, just have fun and enjoy the holidays. i hope i helped a little. hey, were talking Christmas in july!!

Europe unites to deplore Swiss ban on minarets

Since when is there a ban on Christmas and crucifixes in the US?

You need to find a more reliable source for information.

Celebrating Christmas is perfectly legal in the US, as is owning a crucifix.

does any one have any sugestions to harden up my frosting so the shape thats suppose to come out of the tip does its just too loose!

I agree with Christine R – add more powdered sugar until it’s the correct consistency. This is what I do when I make my own frosting.

Small living room decorating idea help?

Posted by Jade Martins on Jan-30-2010

Reposting for any other ideas people might have that didn’t see my post before :)

My husband and I are closing on a home in 2 weeks, and I’m trying to figure out how to decorate the living area. It’s an odd, small area – Walk in the front door and its an oversize hallway more or less as the living room that L shapes to a small dining area that L shapes again to a dead end kitchen. So like a U shape with a wall between the kitchen and the living area.
It has light colored pergo flooring, and no high ceilings or skylights. And there is a pellet stove in the corner of the living area.
Since we wont have exra money, we have to keep our current furniture for the time being, which includes my husbands black leather couch and love seat.
The dining area and kitchen are going to have black wrought iron pieces (table/chairs and wall mounted pot rack).
With this information, do you have any tips on interior decoration? I need things to help make the room seem bigger, and tips on colors when our furniture is black and floor is light wood.

Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!
(Due to the last time I posted, and with the great answers I got – I’m thinking about a light blue or a light green – trying to convince husband of these though. And trying to figure out a good accent color with those colors)

I think that a vibrant orange or lemon yellow would make a good accent colour – 1 or 2 pillows and a glass bowl of the chosen citrus on the table.

I may have a talent here and there, but interior decoration is NOT one of them! I am the worst with the tackiest taste yet I want my house to look nice (at a reasonable price) Does anyone have any ideas for living room, hallway, bedroom (two babies), master bedroom, and walls in all of the rooms. Some thigns I like: modern things so although I was once into the Victorian style now I can’t stand it. Weird. I know that I am not offering many details, but I don’t know which to offer….umm.. it’s a three story house. 1st story has living room, kitchen, half-bath 2nd story has 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, 3rd story has a study and a half-bath. Budget:… have no clue, but whatever is reasonable for a couple that makes okay money.
