Home Decorating and Interior Design Ideas

Every year I make a batch of Christmas ornaments for our tree and then fill in with store bought balls and plain ornaments. This year I am having a hard time finding anything I want to make. Any ideas?

One person’s idea of beauty is another’s tacky, right? =) But here are some ideas I found that I didn’t think were too bad (and there ARE bad ones out there!)

These are for sale, but a crafty person could make them easily:

And tacky, yet neat:

Here’s something you could do. It’s pretty big but if you just used half of the stuff it tells you to it wouold be cute. http://www.allcrafts.net/projects/Safety-Pin-Beaded-Christmas-Tree.htm

Go to http://www.hgtv.com and type "Temari tree ornament" into the search box to see examples of some beautiful Japanese thread balls and complete instructions. These take a lot of patience but the results are fabulous and classy.
