When is it too early to put up Christmas Decor?

From what I understand most people wait until right before or after Thanksgiving to put up Christmas decorations, but is it too early to do it now? ;)

Definitely not talking full out Christmas decor.. not putting up the tree yet.. just a few things here and there..

Too early is before Halloween. After Halloween, it’s okay to start decorating for Christmas and putting up a few decorations. Then it’s best to complete your Christmas decorating on Thanksgiving, like putting up your tree and so forth.

    YES!!!!! Way too early. You shouldn’t put anything up until after Thanksgiving.

    If now is a better time for you, go for it. I don’t think people mind early Christmas decorators nearly as much as they mind the folks who leave their decorations up until June. ;)

    haha i know some people that keep christmas lights up all year long…do you really care about the right time? Put them up whenever you like, in fact i say start early so you can stand back and add/remove at your hearts desire.

    kinda.
    we always put up ours the weekend after thanksgiving. but the day after halloween my neighbors put up all theire lights :)

    You know, I really think the only person who can answer that is you. If you get joy out of having them up early, then by all means, do it! We have a neighbor who leaves her Christmas lights up all year and honestly, I don’t mind because she loves them so much. Me personally, we have a tradition of putting ours up after the Thanksgiving feast.

    We start decorating our house the weekend after thanksgiving, and the first or second week of december we put things up outside..but we dont get our tree until about a week before christmas because it wilts

    i think its probablly too early because then youll have some of your christmas decor up and then youll be ready for christmas now and then it wont be as fun when the time actually comes. i did that last year so i was ready for christmas again on january 1st.lol.just wait for thanksgiving. thats the perfect time to do it.i want to put mine up now because i am in love with christmas but its just a tad too early.but just wait for about 15-20 more days!its nt that far away!

    I think it’s too early to put decorations up now – it’s still two months until Christmas. I wait until December 1 to put up any decorations and I think that’s early enough. This year we’ll have to wait another week or so because we’re moving December 1st, which is okay too and probably early enough anyway.
