Need help to decorate new home. what colors work well together?
I am currently renovating/redecorating a 95-year-old home to sell. I have chosen pale neutral colors (light grey/blue walls & white trim for a bedroom, light sage walls & cream trim for dining room, & cream beige walls and medium oak trim for living room) because these will make the small rooms appear larger and will appeal to most home buyers.
I frequently watch decorating shows on HGTV, DIY, and TLC channels for ideas. Some of the designer’s ideas are pretty far-out and expensive, but the viewer can take what they want from them. The shows and their websites have given me lots of ideas and how-tos.
Also, I would recommend the Behr paints website. You can choose the type of room and color combinations to get an idea of how colors will look before you buy. And I love Behr paints….easy to apply, cover well, and easy clean-up.
Any color that is opposite of each other on the color wheel work well together. It really depends on what colors you like and if you’re going to have themes or not.
