Modern Home Decorating

My mom wants to start a small cake decorating business out of her home. She’s really talented, but has no idea what goes into starting her own business. Doesnt she need health department approval or anything like that? and shouldnt be see an attorney about setting up waiver forms for her customers to sign?
She wont be doing any marketing or anything like that, she’ll mostly be depending on word-of-mouth referrals. any suggestions? thanks in advance. you guys are the best!

Usually she will need a certificate from the Health Department, and a separate entrance into her kitchen. You need to check with your city and county for specific regulations.
