Is it bad luck to leave your xmas decorations up for longer than the New Years?

Just an old superstition i heard that if your xmas decorations are up past new years, you get bad luck? Is there any other superstitions that are Christmas related as well?
I have not heard of that one. What I have heard is that your house will be as clean through out the year as it is at the start of the year. Which means if your house is messy/dirty when the New Year starts it will remain messy/dirty through out that entire year. So I always make sure my house is clean (winter cleaning after Christmas) before Dec. 31st. every year…I take my tree down during that time, ONLY to make sure I have everything in order in the house…

You can leave the decorations up until January 6th. This day is called the Epiphany. In the Christain faith this is the day that the wise men arrived bearing their gifts. We always take our decorations down after the 6th. I have never had bad luck because of this.

The first day of Christmas is December 25th. The Christmas Season lasts for 12 days, until January 6th, which is Epiphany.
As in, "on the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me…" and so on.
Epiphany is the day we celebrate the coming of the Wise Men, who greeted the Baby Jesus with their gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. Hope I helped, and a Merry Christmas to all!
