Why aren’t my christmas tree ornaments lighting up?
Posted by Jade Martins on Oct-16-2009
I have quite a few hallmark ornaments that light up when a bulb from the light strand is removed and the electrical cord on the ornament is plugged into it. This year none are working??What is going on?!
all the light bulbs are lighting up.
Your bulbs probably run on what is called a series circuit, in short, each bulb is reliant on the next, if one goes they all go.
i recommend you purchase one with a paralell circuit, also make sure that you havent removed too many bulbs.

Maybe a cord is bad or one of the light bulbs is bad. I know I have a couple of strings of lights that don’t work if one is burned out. There could also be a short or burned out fuse in the plug itself.

usually when 1 is burnt out they all dont work. or maybe the cord is broken. or the plug ur using is bad and u need 2 use a new 1. well maybe the place u stored it did something 2 it. something might hav fallen on it. did u drop it? usually the hallmark ones dont work!
