Gingerbread Christmas Tree Ornaments?
When I was a kid my grammy and I would make those gingerbread Christmas tree ornaments. I cannot find a simple recipe to use to make them with and I have found a couple different ones.
Do any of you guys know a simple recipe to make them with?
I have a FABULOUS recipe for making some very aromatic ornaments that is SUPER easy!
1/2 cup applesauce.
1/2 cup cinnamon.
Put both in a ziploc bag and keep squishing until you get the consistency of dough. Once you have achieved that, roll out dough to until it’s about 1/4" thick and cut into shapes, like a Gingerbread man or use candy molds to make shapes!
Take a straw and poke out a whole into the top of the ornament so you can hang on the tree once they have dried.
Allow your creations to air-dry completely for 12 hours (or you can place on cookie sheet and bake it for about 10 minutes in a 325 F to help them along!)
These lovelies will keep smelling FOR YEARS! I made some 8 years ago and they still smell awesome! Also, the small glow & heat of Christmas lights will help to enhance the aroma!
Enjoy! ?
